British Canoeing have announced the teams for the World and European Sprint Champions, and there are a record 4 Banbury paddlers listed. Double Olympian, Angela Hannah, now self-funding and training has been selected with new partner Hannah Brown (Wiltshire Youth CC0 for the 200 and 500 K2 for both the Europeans and the Worlds. Iain Weir has also been called up for both events – to race the 1000 C2 with Jonny Jones (Fladbury CC). Amy Turner is named in the women’s 500 K4 for the World Championships, while Joe Petersen will be adding the Junior World Sprint Championship to his Junior World Marathon call-up. This time he will race the 1000 K2 with Finn Cadell (Linlithgow CC).
