Our annual awards evening celebrated our outstanding paddlers and their achievements from the person winning the most points for the club at regional competitions to the person who had clocked up the most swims during the year. Other hotly contested awards included the best race face and the funniest thing fished out of the canal. Members were treated to an amazing talk by former club member Will Austin of Kayantics who has just returned from paddling some very challenging water in Nepal. Mark Larner provided us all with a delicous curry and members brought enough puddings to share so that we all have plenty of fuel in the tank for the coming season.
