There were a number of people tackling their first race, or their first one in K1. There was also an unusual win for Joe P with George U – who both put aside their usual boats, and took in Div 7 in a canoe.

The other divisional winners were Amy T and Jessie U 1st in Div 4 K2, this time getting the better of the Wey crew that beat them at Oxford.

Other senior placings/promotions included 2nd for Steve H and Ann B in Div 9 K2, and 3rd placings for Shaun H in Div 2 K1, Chris and Simon P in Div 7 K2 and Brian P and Jacqui S in Div 8 K2. There were also promotions for Noah M to Div 3, George M to Div 6 and Jack B to Div 8.

We now have a great team racing in the new Geoff Sanders series, with 10 taking part this time and, again, a number of first-timers, two of whom were on the podium with Max Y 2nd in GSB and Reuben H taking the top spot in GSC, while Milena O and Fiona P were 3rd in the K2.
